Tips for choosing
- Match the section to the age. Joey Scouts (5–7), Cub Scouts (8–11), Scouts (11–14), Venturers (14–18) and Rovers (18–25) meet on different nights.
- Close beats famous. A Group ten minutes away that you’ll actually get to weekly is worth more than a slightly larger one across town.
- Contact two or three. Meeting nights and cultures vary; a quick chat helps you find the right fit.
What happens after you enquire
A leader will usually invite your family along to see a meeting night in action. There’s no commitment in just looking — most members started exactly that way. Wear enclosed shoes and bring questions.
