Our volunteers deserve training that fits real life. Adult learning in Scouting is flexible, practical and designed around you — whether you’re brand new or working towards your Wood Badge.

What it is

Adult leader development is delivered through the Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT), a registered training organisation. Learning combines hands-on experience with On-Demand eLearning available anytime at training.scouts.com.au.

The Wood Badge pathway

The Wood Badge is Scouting’s recognised mark of a trained leader. The pathway typically includes:

• Foundation training for your role.
• On-Demand modules you complete at your own pace.
• Practical application in your Section, supported by a mentor.

Who it helps

Every adult in Scouting — leaders, assistants, Group committee members and Rover advisers. No prior experience needed; the pathway meets you where you are.

How to start

Talk to your Group Leader about enrolling, then log in to training.scouts.com.au to begin your first module.
