Many roles, one team

This page will help you see the full range of adult roles in Moreton Region Scouts. Leadership is only one option – Scouting runs on a whole team of contributors.

Roles with young people

  • Section Leaders and Assistant Leaders – deliver the program for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts or Venturers.
  • Group Leaders – support all Sections within a Group and coach the Leader team.
  • Activity Leaders – bring specialist skills like bushwalking, paddling or abseiling.

Roles supporting adults

  • District and Region teams – coordination, mentoring and support across Groups.
  • Trainers and Leader trainers – deliver adult training through SAIT pathways.
  • Fellowship members – experienced adults who help at events and projects.

Roles behind the scenes

  • Group Committees and Supporters – fundraising, maintenance, finance and governance.
  • Administrators – records, communications and grants.

Every role matters

A great campsite cook enables as many adventures as an activity permit holder. Roles flex around your availability, and you can change direction as life changes.

Reflection question: which role description sounds most like you – and which sounds nothing like you? Both answers are useful starting points for a chat.
