Join the team
This page will help you find your place as a volunteer with Moreton Region Scouts. You do not need experience, a uniform, or a background in youth work. You just need a willingness to pitch in.
Ways to get involved
- Express your interest – tell us a little about yourself and we will take it from there.
- What do volunteers do – a realistic picture of the roles and the time they take.
- Friends of Scouting – support us without taking on a formal role.
- Become a Leader – take the next step into working directly with young people.
No experts required
Nobody starts as an expert. Our Leaders come from every walk of life – parents, tradespeople, students, retirees. Training is provided, mentors walk beside you, and you will never be asked to do something alone before you are ready.
We know your time is precious, so roles flex around work and family. Some volunteers help weekly, others once a term. Both matter.
Try this: think about one thing you enjoy – camping, cooking, admin, driving the bus – then explore the pages above to see where it might fit.
