Explore the unknown. Scouts is where young people start discovering who they are by testing what they can do. It is adventurous, youth-driven and full of the kind of challenge that builds real confidence.

This is an important stage. Your child is changing fast, looking outward, building identity and wanting more say in their world, and Scouts gives them a safe, active place to grow into that.

Real adventure, real responsibility

In Scouts, young people do more than turn up. They help lead, plan, decide, reflect and take responsibility for their own progress.

What your child will do

  • Go on camps, hikes and outdoor adventures that stretch their skills.
  • Build leadership through teamwork and shared responsibility.
  • Learn practical outdoor, personal and problem-solving skills.
  • Take on challenges that help them grow stronger and more self-reliant.

What your child gains

Scouts helps young people grow in confidence, judgment and resilience. They learn that leadership is not a badge you wear but something you practise, step by step, with others.

What you can expect

Your child will be challenged, but never left on their own. We balance independence with strong adult support so they can push further, learn safely and come back from each activity more capable than before.

Take the next step

If your child is ready for bigger adventures and real responsibility, we can help you find the right Scout Troop.
