Campsites

Campsites are a big part of how Scouting comes to life. They give young people and adults room to explore, learn practical outdoor skills, work together, and build confidence through shared experience. At Moreton Region Scouts, campsites support local camps, regional activities, leader development, and bigger opportunities across Queensland.

We want this part of the site to grow over time. It starts with our regional camp at Allawah Scout Camp and our broader Queensland connection through BP Park, with room to add more campsite and outdoor venue pages in future.

Why campsites matter

A good campsite is more than just a place to stay. It becomes part of the program. Camps, day visits, hikes, and outdoor activities help young people build independence, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving in a way that feels active and memorable.

  • Outdoor settings make learning practical and engaging.
  • Shared camp routines build responsibility and teamwork.
  • Natural spaces support reflection, challenge, and fun.
  • Leaders can deliver hands-on programs that feel real and purposeful.

Local and wider opportunities

Our local focus matters, so we begin with the campsites most relevant to Moreton Region members. At the same time, Scouting connects us to wider opportunities across Queensland, including larger camping and training sites that support major events and broader learning experiences.

This helps young people and volunteers see both the local pathway and the bigger Scouting picture.

Growing this section over time

This campsite section is designed to expand. As more pages are added, it can become a practical reference point for local camps, regional venues, and broader Scouting outdoor destinations that matter to Moreton Region Scouts.
