Group Leaders carry a unique role – coaching Leader teams, connecting with families, and keeping the whole Group healthy. This page gathers the resources built specifically for that job.
Your toolkit
- Program Navigator – see every Section’s plans at a glance and spot gaps or clashes early.
- Scout Central – membership records, compliance status and Blue Card tracking for your Group.
- pr.scouts.com.au – the Program Resources site, with guidance on delivering the youth program across all age Sections.
- Governance templates – agendas, budgets and reporting formats for working with your Group Committee.
Support around you
You are not expected to solve everything alone. Your District Commissioner mentors Group Leaders, the Region team coordinates training and events, and fellow Group Leaders across Moreton Region are generous with hard-won advice. Ask questions early – someone has almost always faced the same issue.
We know Group Leadership competes with work and family. Delegate freely, share the load deliberately, and protect your own Scouting joy.
Reflection question: which part of your role drains you most – and who in your District already does that part well? A conversation might be the fix.
