Plan programs without the Sunday-night panic
The Program Navigator is Scouts Australia’s online planning tool for building term programs around the youth program framework. By the end of this page you will know what it does and how to start using it well.
What it helps you do
- Build meeting-by-meeting programs that balance challenge, adventure and fun across all Sections – Joeys through Rovers.
- Link activities to Program Essentials, Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Areas automatically.
- Draw on a library of activity ideas shared by Scouters across Australia.
- Share plans with your leadership team so everyone knows the night’s shape before they arrive.
Tips from volunteers who use it
- Plan a whole term in one sitting – it takes about an hour once your ideas are listed.
- Let youth members pick themes from your draft; ownership lifts attendance.
- Borrow freely from other Units’ published ideas, then adapt for your young people.
Getting access
Program Navigator connects through your Scout Central membership account. Your Group Leader can help you get set up, and supporting guidance lives at pr.scouts.com.au.
Try this: open the Navigator and map your next four meetings against one challenge area. Small starts count.
