Child-safe help when you need it
This page gathers the support and resources available to adults on child-safe matters. Bookmark it — it’s designed to be the page you open quickly when a question arises at 9pm the night before camp.
Where to go for what
- Policies and the Code of Conduct — full versions are maintained by Scouts Queensland through official channels.
- Training modules and refreshers — accessed via Scouts Queensland’s adult training system; your Group Leader can point you there.
- Blue Card questions — start with your Group Leader or District Commissioner, who deal with these regularly.
- Raising a concern — follow our reporting page. When in doubt, report.
Support for you, not just compliance
Child-safe work can feel heavy, especially after an incident or difficult conversation. You’re not expected to carry it alone. Your District team exists to support volunteers through exactly these moments — confidentially and without judgement.
Worth knowing
- Scouts Australia acknowledges the National Redress Scheme as part of our commitment to those harmed historically in institutions.
- Child-safe standards are reviewed regularly — check back here rather than relying on memory from years past.
