Everyone belongs here
This page explains our commitment to diversity and inclusion across Moreton Region Scouts. Scouting welcomes all young people and adults, regardless of background, ability, culture, faith or family circumstances. If you want to be part of Scouting, we want to help make that possible.
What inclusion looks like for us
- Welcoming every family. Our Groups reflect the communities around them, and we value that diversity.
- Supporting different abilities. Programs can be reasonably adjusted so every member can take part and achieve.
- Respecting culture and belief. We celebrate what makes each person unique while sharing common values of service, respect and integrity.
- Safety first, always. Every member deserves a space where they feel safe, respected and free to be themselves.
Inclusion in practice
Inclusion isn’t a policy on a shelf — it’s how we run a camp, choose an activity, and speak to one another. Leaders work with families to understand individual needs and adjust where needed. If something isn’t working, we want to hear it so we can do better.
