Membership and Costs
Scouting costs usually include two parts: the Scouts Queensland membership fee, and local Group fees or subs set by the Group your child joins. This means the total cost can vary depending on your local Group.
Scouts Queensland provides the original statewide fee information for membership. Families should always confirm the current amount when making an enquiry, as fees can change over time.
Local Group fees are separate and may help cover things like meeting hall costs, equipment, insurance-related local charges, section resources, and weekly program delivery. Camps, major events, and some activities are usually charged separately, and uniform is often an additional cost when joining.
Each Group may structure its local fees differently. The best way to get accurate, current fee information is to contact the Group directly through our Join Scouts page or by sending an enquiry.
