Welcome to Scouting

Scouting is a place where young people can belong, grow, and take part in real experiences that build confidence over time. In Moreton Region Scouts, families join a local community where adventure, friendship, service, and learning all work together.

Young people learn by doing. That might mean games, outdoor activities, camps, teamwork, leadership, practical skills, or helping others in the community.

If you are new to Scouts, you do not need to understand everything at once. This section is here to help you get familiar with how Scouting works, what families can expect, and where to go next.

What you will find in this section

  • What Scouts do.
  • How age sections work.
  • Information about membership and costs.
  • Uniform and badges.
  • Parent involvement and safety information.

A good first step is to explore the pages in this section, then contact a local Group when you are ready to ask questions or arrange a visit.
